Fragrance Review: Clorox Refreshables, Spring Breeze
Products that make household chores easier are always of interest to consumers. There have been many attempts in the past by different manufacturers to launch a product for garments that are not dirty but just need refreshing to remove any slight off odors wearers come across.
We have seen wet and dry towelettes, sprays and other solid forms launched in the past but unfortunately the concept has never taken off with consumers.
Clorox’s Refreshables, an In-Dryer Clothing Refresher is a fresh attempt at revisiting this concept - a product that can be used for lightly worn clothes that just need a slight refreshing and not a complete wash.
Launching with a single Spring Breeze fragrance, the damp towelette is tossed on top of clothes in the dryer and air dried (no heat) for 15-20 minutes.

Out of the Package
The towelette has the aroma of a typical laundry detergent fragrance that universally appeals to consumers. Floral, aldehydic citrus, fruity, woody and musk notes are present as soon as the Refreshables package is unsealed. The scent is pleasant and psychologically reinforces the functional benefits of a laundry detergent.
Out of the Dryer
The garments come out truly smelling “refreshed” and the scent does an excellent job at removing odors while not being overpowering. The aroma is functional and clean with floral, green, aldehydic and woody notes. At this stage the scent is more in line with the aroma of a leading fabric softener sheet.
While Wearing and Days Later
The garments remain fresh and clean with almost the same aroma as out of the dryer. The scent is present but not overpowering. Days later a more fruity freshness is released while wearing.
